Because of the altitude, frost is possible at night. The days will probably
be very hot and dry, but nighttime can become quite cold. If you plan to
camp, bring a good sleeping bag, and if you plan to stay at a motel it would
still be wise to bring a good coat. Last year it snowed at eight thousand
feet on Labor day, and I have seen snow on the valley floor on July fourth.

Ketchum is where the action is. There must be 50 restaurants, several hotels
and motels, numerous bars and gift shops. Its a resort town at the base of
Bald Mountain.
Sun Valley is one mile east of Ketchum. The Sun Valley Lodge is located here.
Hailey has about 6 restaurants, two grocery stores, a movie theater and a few
other shops.
Bellevue has three restaurants (one of them may be open for breakfast
occasionally), two bars, two grocery stores, a couple of antique stores and
other shops.
